Who We Serve
Emotional, developmental and behavioral problems and disorders are common in children and adolescents. At some time, most families face difficulties such as a traumatic event, mental illness or substance abuse that can prove especially troubling for children. The services provided are designed to meet the needs of families that may benefit from outpatient assessment and treatment. Childhood can be challenging and stressful for children and parents. Individual Therapy: Our therapists are specialized in the treatment of trauma and work with children who demonstrate significant behavioral problems. OCOF provides quality care and assist children in dealing with the barriers that get in the way of their emotional and mental well-being. OCOF provides a safe environment for children to enrich their thoughts, feelings and mind power regarding any situations and problems they may have. We use evidence-based interventions and strength based practices that build on the unique strengths of each individual child.
Family therapy: We believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. We serve young children and their families. We know that when families access services at the onset of a disorder, the treatment effectiveness can be long lasting and prevent more serious problem behaviors later in development. Recognizing that children are nurtured, healed and develop within families, family therapy is the hallmark of our services. Parents are the ultimate teachers. They teach their children what to think about the world, what is important or unimportant and about their own self-worth.
